Western Wisconsin toddler killed by van in driveway

A 1 1/2-year-old boy died after being stuck by a van in a Polk County, Wis., driveway on Monday.

The boy, Abraham Flynn, was with his mother and siblings at a neighbor’s home at about 10 a.m. when he was run over by the rear tires of a large panel van as it was driving in a circular driveway.

The driver, Arthur Elmquist, 54, of Osceola, did not see the boy enter the driveway, according to the Polk County sheriff’s office. Authorities said the children were playing in the snow at the time.

The child was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, but died due to injuries, the sheriff’s office said.
