A march through the southern city of Montpellier against controversial plans to reform France’s labour laws on Thursday May 26th, one of many across the country, once again attracted thousands of supporters. The demonstration made its way peacefully from the Antigone district of the city to the place de la Comédie, going past the Saint-Roch railway station, with protesters in an upbeat mood and there were no disturbances. Mediapart went to meet the demonstrators to find out if they were concerned about the new turn that the protests have taken in recent days, with blockades led by members of the CGT trade union hitting key sectors of society.
